Korigad (also spelled Koraigad) is a hill fort about 20 km south of Lonavala in Pune district, Maharashtra, standing at roughly 929 metres (3,050 feet) above sea level. It's one of the easiest and most popular fort treks near Lonavala — a short, gentle climb that makes it an ideal beginner and family monsoon trek. The trail opens onto a broad, flat fort plateau crowned with two lakes, ancient stone gateways, old temples, and panoramic Sahyadri views. Rising more than 200 metres above the surrounding valleys, Korigad is as much a heritage walk as a trek. In the monsoon, the historic stone stairway turns into a cascade of flowing rainwater and mist rolls across the ramparts, while the well-preserved fort walls, cannons, and the Korai Devi temple tell the story of its Maratha past. The base village of Peth Shahpur sits about 1 km north of the fort and serves as the starting point of the trek.
